The research and development facility in Tualatin Oregon (Fujimi Corporation) is an extension of the main technical center located at Fujimi Incorporated in Nagoya Japan .  Fujimi Corporation has full slurry development and process development capabilities for 8" wafers used in CMP applications as well as disks used in rigid memory applications (such as hard disk drives).

The core competencies of Fujimi Corporations R&D group are:

1. Understanding the surface interactions and mechanisms of polishing,
2. Development of novel particle and chemical technologies that lead to polishing solutions.
3. Product development through the pilot plant phase.  The R&D team is proud to include the responsibility of developing quality control metrology utilized to insure the superior quality of each lot of product manufactured at Fujimi.

The state-of-the-art clean room facility is used to support three distinct functions:

1. Development and evaluation of new materials,
2. Support and development of novel manufacturing technologies,
3. Process development for existing and potential customers. 

A team of application engineers along with experienced chemists and technicians allow our customers to find the best solution to their polishing problems.
